Watermarkly (“we”, “our”, or “the App”) respects your privacy. This policy explains what information the App handles and how it is used. Watermarkly is designed to process photos on your device whenever possible.
1. Information We Process
Depending on how you use the App, we may process the following categories of information:
- Photos you select. Used only to add watermarks, apply frame/caption styles, or retouch content you choose.
- Photo library permission. Needed so you can pick images and save results to your library.
- Purchase status. If you unlock the App, Apple’s payment system confirms your purchase entitlement on device.
- Basic app preferences. Local settings (for example, remaining free saves or unlock status) may be stored on your device.
2. How We Use Information
- To provide watermarking, framing, and retouch features you request
- To save edited photos when you choose to export
- To unlock paid features after a successful purchase or restore
- To remember local trial/unlock status on your device
Photo editing is performed on your device. We do not operate an account system, and we do not require you to create a user profile to use Watermarkly.
3. Data Sharing
We do not sell your personal information. We do not upload your photos to our servers for editing. Purchases are processed by Apple. Apple may collect payment-related information under Apple’s own privacy policy.
4. Analytics, Advertising, and Tracking
Watermarkly does not use third-party advertising SDKs and does not track you across other companies’ apps or websites for advertising. We do not build advertising profiles from your photos.
5. Data Retention
- Photos remain under your control on your device unless you save or share them yourself.
- Local preference data remains on your device until you delete the App or clear App data.
- Purchase records are managed by Apple associated with your Apple ID.
6. Children’s Privacy
The App is not directed to children under 13 (or the equivalent minimum age in your region). We do not knowingly collect personal information from children.
7. Your Choices
- You can deny or revoke photo library access in iOS Settings.
- You can delete the App at any time to remove locally stored App preferences.
- You can manage subscriptions or purchase settings in your Apple ID settings, if applicable.
8. International Users
Watermarkly may be used in multiple regions. Because processing is primarily on-device, your photos are not transferred to us for watermarking or retouching as part of normal App use.
9. Changes to This Policy
We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. The “Last updated” date at the top will change when we do. Continued use of the App after an update means you accept the revised policy.
