FrameCam Support
Instant film-style photo frames & camera signatures
FrameCam is a minimal camera app for iPhone. Take a photo, and the App automatically adds gallery-style white borders and an optional camera signature stamp — ready to share.
Getting Started
- Open FrameCam and allow Camera access when prompted.
- Allow Photo Library access so framed photos can be saved.
- Tap the shutter button to capture a photo.
- Your framed photo is saved to the Photos app automatically.
Features
- Camera presets — Choose from built-in signature styles in Settings (top-right icon).
- Border styles — Slim (10%), Classic (12%), or Wide (15%) white borders.
- Custom Signature — Optional in-app purchase to use your own signature line.
- Session gallery — Tap the thumbnail next to the shutter to review photos captured during the current session.
- Tap to focus — Tap anywhere on the preview to focus and meter at that point.
- Swipe presets — Swipe left or right on the camera screen to switch camera presets quickly.
Restore a Purchase
If you purchased Custom Signature and it is not unlocked after reinstalling the App:
- Open FrameCam → tap the Settings icon (top right).
- Scroll to Custom Signature.
- Tap Restore Purchase.
- Make sure you are signed in with the same Apple ID used for the original purchase.
Permissions
- Camera — Required to take photos.
- Photo Library — Required to save framed photos. FrameCam only adds new photos; it does not browse your library.
If permissions were denied, go to Settings → FrameCam on your iPhone and enable them.
Troubleshooting
- Black camera screen — Check that Camera permission is enabled. Force-quit and reopen the App.
- Photo not saved — Check Photo Library permission in iOS Settings.
- Purchase issues — Use Restore Purchase, or contact Apple Support for billing questions.
- Blurry photos — Tap the subject on screen to focus before shooting.
